About Me

Hi, I am Emma, french and 31 years old. I am crazy about my friends, and friendship in general. I am insanely obsess with food. I am quite joyful and easy going most of the time, and impatient and physically tired due to Crohn illness the other part of the time. I am very expressive and spontaneous.

I am a consultant on subjects of collective or relationship intelligence, conflicts, and diversity & inclusion for 5 years with a financial background, but am a farmer in my blood and family. I really hate having fog on my glasses, pretentious people, or taking off make-up. I dance whenever I can, mostly when I am waiting for public transportation. I speak and laugh too loudly sometimes.

I often can not close back an open pizza box and get shy when I am surrounded by beautiful nature. If I could I would definitely only eat pasta for the rest of my life.

One last thing, after 10 years of crazy working mainly in Paris and a bit NYC, I decided to quit everything, and like many, go on a world tour to discover the world for more than a year, to heal my body, and take time to breath in wonderful landscapes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I would love to create new connexions and friendships while I am travelling. Learning from each other and hanging out to create crazy good memories together.

I have to admit that with social media I have been really exposed (like everyone) to all the bad stuff that is happening in the world. All the violence that exists and that the human being is capable of doing. And it started to feel like a dark cloud floating around me, weighting me down.

So, I think in the back of my mind, doing Couchsurfing, would also help me feel solidarity and sense of community with people again.

Interests

My other favorite things in the world are how people function, different ways of living, TV shows, animals, dancing, music, books, and writing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can not spend a day without listening to music. I studied it since I was 5. Music gives me energy when I don't have some anymore or enables me to dream. One of my favorite ways of learning about someone new is to ask their 5 latest songs they have been listened to.

Too hard to pick a book, but I mostly like, novel with atypical characters, autobiography, books about sociology, gender, and resilience.

The latest TV shows I really enjoyed were The mare of Eastown, Sex lives of college girls, Atypical, The Bear, and Shrinking.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to learn traditional rituals from each town I am visiting, cooking french recipes for the hosts, and just having drinks together to talk about what ever we feel like to.
