Hi! Emmy here. 4th generation Oregonian. I am sloowly working my way through university, usually distracted by daydreaming of living & working abroad or buying a few acres on the Big Island, Hawaii to start a lil farm.

Presently I work and study far too much -- but someday I will sail away and see/hear/smell/taste/touch/love the whole planet. I may be perceived as an introvert, but I am rarely intimidated by anyone and adore talking with, and listening to, strangers! Humans are fascinating creatures. :D

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am at home in Portland, happily hosting whenever I can! I love having guests and meeting surfers; nothing beats hearing a good travel story. I've found that connecting with those on the road helps me better appreciate my own home. I hope to encourage others to keep on keepin' on with their travels.
