About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Norway, somehow.

ABOUT ME

I was born in California in 1986. I lived there for 23 years and moved to Berlin. Events happened between those two points, and after.

PHILOSOPHY

If I tried to explain it I would probably miss my own point.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm here aren't I?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Various road trips up and down California, and a memorable few weeks in Berlin.

Interests

Art (the practice of it, thought about it in general, it's place in society and so on). I listen to all kinds of music. I truly enjoy any good discussion that comes from whatever is around, people, places, and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not very good at watching movies, but a short list of my favorites would be: Painter by Paul McCarthy, The Holy Mountain by Jodorowsky, Blue Velvet by David Lynch, Salo by Pasolini, and The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser by Werner Herzog.

My taste in music changes every 4 weeks or so.

I read all the time, usually anything around me. I get edgy and nervous if I'm alone with nothing to read. Some of the books I have read are: Hunger by Knut Hamsun, Ham on Rye by Charles Bukowski, Naked Lunch by William Burroughs, Straw Dogs by John Gray, Violence by Slavoj Zizek, The Damned by J.K. Huysmans, and Nausea by John-Paul Sarte. I genuinely enjoyed all of the Samuel Beckett I've ever read as well.

I've been reading Sci-Fi lately, it's cheap and plentiful.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once escaped a terrible situation in Las Vegas on a Greyhound bus. There was an oxygen bar and a cheeseburger and very little sleep involved. There are more details to this story.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you talk to me long enough, we will eventually talk about everything. I may or may not have critically important information about anything we talk about.
