Hello! We are Asmin & Emre — travel partners in life and on the road.

We love hiking, nature, meeting new people and learning how locals actually live. We are currently building a backpacker lifestyle and slowly exploring the world.

We enjoy deep conversations, cultural exchange, cooking together, music and spontaneous adventures. We are responsible, tidy and always respectful of house rules.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on Couchsurfing because we want to live like backpackers and travel slow.
We don’t like only touristic places and hotels. We want to see real life of country.

We are trying to build simple life, more freedom, less things. In future we want to be digital nomads and work online while traveling. Step by step we are learning this lifestyle.

For us Couchsurfing is not for free bed. It is for meeting local people, sharing culture, cooking together and real conversation.

We believe world is more beautiful when people trust each other and open their home.

Music, Movies, and Books

We love techno music and rave culture. Music is big part of our life.
Emre’s favorite DJ is Nico Moreno and Asmin’s favorite DJ is Maddix. We like hard techno, energetic vibes and festival atmosphere.

We also like Turkish series and movies like Yalan Dünya, Behzat Ç and Kurtlar Vadisi. They are very different styles but all interesting for us.

For global movies we like sci-fi and mind blowing movies like Inception. We enjoy movies that make us think and question reality.

We are open to new music, movie and book recommendations from different cultures 😊

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 years old, I started hitchhiking from Antalya to Çanakkale and finally arrived to Istanbul, my home.
I had only one backpack, almost no money — just freedom and myself.

Sometimes I worked in random beach cafes to earn some money, then continued on the road again.

This experience taught me courage, trust and how little we actually need to survive. It was one of the most free times of my life.

We can share Turkish culture, food and stories from our travels.
We can cook simple Turkish meals and make Turkish tea together.

Emre can share hitchhiking experiences and backpacker tips.
We can also share about rave culture and techno music.
