Hey there!

I'm Emelia, and I'm a Finnish resident. Couchsurfing won't let me change my address for whatever reason. Anyway, I'm 22. I'm a self-proclaimed nerd, and proud of it! I enjoy studying and having intelligent discussions. I have a dog, he's my best friend, his name is Ruka and he's a Siberian Husky. You'd like him, I think! Though he doesn't make for great conversation. Well, I'm a bit timid and shy, and more than a little anxious about couch surfing, but I'm excited to give it a try. Anyway, I've been traveling my entire life, and it's time for something new! Hello, couch surfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I've said, I've traveled my entire life. Aside from a few cruises and a hand full of road trips, I've been confined to cities, airports, and hotels. Quite frankly, I'm sick of it. I believe that most of the experience you get from travel comes from the people you meet, and the way they can show you your destination through their eyes. Whether they be a local, or a fellow traveler.

I'm pretty new to hostels, to couchsurfing, and to nearly any form of alternative travel. I'm hoping to start it off right!

Hopefully I won't be judged for liking death metal, but hey, there it is! Though I can get away with loving anything with a good beat and a catchy chorus.

I'm a total movie buff. I mostly like terrible horror movies that accomplish nothing but making the audience laugh, but I'm a sucker for cult classics as well! STAR WARS!
