Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been hosted by innumerable families in the last six years and have taken something away from each experience, whether it be a new way of looking at conflict, a new skill or a new way of looking at myself, I have enjoyed to the utmost each and every host family i have stayed with. The experience of sharing someone elses life if even for a few days is priceless.
My roommates and I also hosted a number of couchsurfers (through the website and otherwise) in our tiny flat in Halifax. We've had quite the diversity come through, and got a lot of complements on our comy couch.

Music, Movies, and Books
New Moon, no joke. I freakin' love the kitsch and not even in an ironic "I am so evolved but slumming' kind of way. Currently reading New York Burning, I really like Oliver Sacks' later books, I dislike Ayn Rand but enjoy that she makes it difficult for me to articulate why.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have lived with ten teenagers to one bathroom and two bedrooms. That was very fun. I'm serious!
Paddled some big water. And loved it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really don't feel that I have much to teach that people don't already have access to themselves. This isn't a statement made out of modesty- there's plenty I'm good at- baking bread, baking anything, trying new things that I'm not very good at, learning. But I'm at a stage in my life where all I want to do is learn... and I feel I have a lot to learn.
