About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pursue my dreams fully and openly!

ABOUT ME

I am an American actress-singer-dancer living in Paris! I feel so lucky to have a career doing what I love. In a nutshell, I am adventurous and fun-loving. I like to try new things, but at the same time adore spending lazy days at home. I try to live by following my gut and refusing to let fear take over, which has thus far served me well.

PHILOSOPHY

Feel the fear and do it anyway! And above all, trust in the universe and you will never be let down...

"Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but is really the furthest thing from it."

Everyone is on their own path. I think we need to start understanding that just because one religion or way of life is right for us, it may not be right for everyone. I believe in conversation, not conversion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing, hosting, traveling, spreading the word!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some fantastic friends through couchsurfing, and had some great opportunities to do things I never would have even considered without CS! I have also surfed several times, and they were all fantastic (thank you Malinder, Walter, Steeve, Ulf, David and Paola, Josie, Dario, Roberto, Andrea, Don, Francesco, Lauren, Dafne, Giacomo, Katinka, Martin, and Juan Carlos!) I've hosted a few times in Spokane and in Paris, and they were all fantastic! Andrew, Delphine, Dove, Whitney, Kellen, Lindsey, you were all lovely guests :) And Joel, Taylor, and Yu Ting, feel free to come back to Paris any time!

Interests

Dance is my passion, and I'm lucky enough that it's my job as well! I've done a bit of everything (ballet, modern, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, tango, salsa, swing, hula, tahitian, flamenco, belly dance, break dancing...) I'm an artist at heart, and enjoy finding new means of expression! I'm also a foreign language addict. Other than that, it doesn't take a whole lot for me to be fascinated by things; to list a few: yoga, philosophy, religion, foreign culture, food, travel (of course), rock climbing, martial arts

Music, Movies, and Books

First and foremost, I am a total Lord of the Rings nerd. The books and the movies are fantastic.

Other books: Women Who Run with the Wolves, To Kill a Mockingbird, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, Harry Potter, Crime and Punishment, Le Petit Prince, The Alchemist, French poetry (Hugo etc.), Hafiz, French theater classics (Racine, Corneille, etc), David Sedaris, Dreams From My Father, L'Enchanteur (Barjavel)

Movies: Revolutionary Road, Bond movies, Chocolat, The Hunt for Red October, Jerry Mcguire, Paris Je T'aime, Million Dollar Baby, About A Boy, Children of Men, Gladiator, anything with Kate Winslet, Dustin Hoffman, or Meryl Streep...

Music: I'll listen to anything once! Ben Folds, Beyonce, Guster, Basement Jaxx, Bon Iver, Satie, Chopin, Rufus Wainwright, Stevie Wonder, Jaques Brel, Ben Harper, Maroon 5, Coldplay, Simon and Garfunkle, Beck, ABBA, Sondheim, musical soundtracks (West Side Story, Chorus Line, Chicago, etc.), and the list goes on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, traveling has certainly made me realize that even the most mundane occurrances can be incredible! But with that said:
I spent a week with the Maasai, hanging out with Maasai warriors and learning about their fading culture.
I've lost (and retrieved) my passport while traveling.
I've had a picnic on a city bus.
I've spent a week in silence.
I've done one of the highest bungee jumps in the world.
I've conquered French bureaucracy.
I've gotten paid to do what I love!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, French, dance, improv...
I want to learn anything I can get my hands on! I'm a sponge. Teach me whatever you like.
I want to share my love of life with anyone who's interested! Stories, dreams, successes, failures, travel tips, experiences, points of view, non-judgmental religion, culture, food... I'm open if you are!

Countries I’ve Visited
