About Me

I'm working as a teacher currently.
Based in Sivas. I was born and raised in the same city. The city has historical monuments peculiar to Seljuk Empire and Mongols before Ottomans. Besides, if you are into art history, Divriği Great Mosque is a must to see in terms of having magnificent ornaments and stone carving having many references. To me, it is the most important historical and religious building after Hagia Sophia in Türkiye. If you like eating meat, you should definitely try döner and the city’s special meatball. Sivas is also famous for its pide.

Music, Movies, and Books

Post- Rock, Post-classical, Minimalistic, Turkish music, Ambient Music. Passionate about neo-classical music. Number one is Nils Frahm. Adagio lover. Only lovers left alive. Music and movies for a genuine introvert.

Turkish Classics, Books of Pamuk, historical and theoretical ones. Romantics like Oruç Aruoba. Some Turkish critics impressing me like Gündüz Vassaf, Nurdan Gürbilek, Orhan Koçak. Also into some poetry.

I generally prefer to watch art movies like of NBC or Coen Brothers, some Persian movies, and auteurs like Dardenne Brothers. When I watched the movies of the directors like Eric Rohmer, I felt it was something like beyond the stereotypes, yes I also like Rohmer. To name only one director- it is Kieslowski.
