Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

To know more, see more, explore more about the world

ABOUT ME

All of friends think I am friendly, kind and easy-going. They also think I am a fun guy who always bring laughter to them. Making gags like 9-gag is easy for me :o) And one thing you probably don't know, 9-gag is created by Hong Kong people.

I am also open-minded and social. As an outgoing exchange student, it is undoubtedly you need to be social enough to grab to chance to exchange study in other countries. And Hong Kong was once a British colony and I grow up with a mixed influence of both Western and Eastern Culture. So it's not strange to find a open-minded person from Hong Kong.

PHILOSOPHY

Always pay respect and patience to others. I believe everyone has different growth environment and only with patience, you can understand more of the others and that's exactly the key of peace.

Always try to do anything that you are afraid to do. Life always comes with challenges and difficulties, breaking through your comfort zone is kind of preparation to your life and makes everything smoother.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I didn't have any couch surf experience until I was in Berlin. I know about couchsurfing when I was in Berlin, I sat next to two pairs of couples eating currywurst. And they told me that they were in a "couch surf" trip. Since then I knew about this travel method and I really want to try!

After that I started my first couch surfing in Vienna, Austria. That was really I'm still traveling in Europe for half a year and is trying to continue my couch surfing life.

Intereses

[General]
I like to try new things and see new things. I am open to all cultures and thinking and have great interest in knowing other cultures, how people in other cultures see things in various perspectives.
I am studying Architecture so it is so important to see new things and broaden my horizons to get more inspirations. I believe architecture is always human-orientated. Human use should be considered in the largest extent. It is crucial that I can learn more form people, how they think about their life and values.

[Sports]
I'm not too good at sports but I would always love to do so. Comparatively speaking, I play badminton better and I swim better.

[Leisure]
Reading - especially those inspiring books that can lead me to a positive attitude and road to life
Hiking - Hiking is a really good activity in Hong Kong. You can easily reach a country park nearby and escape from the jungle of concrete skyscrapers.
Computer games - especially Strategy games like C&C series
Karaoke - it's all about singing, no matter you sing well or badly. Just sing along :)

Música, películas y libros

[Movies]
In the cinemas in Hong Kong, there are usually mostly commercial and mainstream movies showing. I do like Sci-fi movies like Starwars series, Transformers....etc. which are sometimes quite "commercial". But I also love those non-manstream movies. It takes sometime for me to search for them :)

[Music]
Actually I'm open to all kinds of music. But I like Country, Rock, Jazz especially.
Some of my favorite singers in 2000s: Avril Lavigne,Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, The Lumineers, James Blunt, One Republic, Green Day, Revolverhead, Maroon 5
Some of my favorite singers before 2000s: Johnny Cash, Carpenters, Air Supply, ABBA, Cranberries
I love old songs also. Those good old days:)

[Books]
The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho
The story is about an adventure of a little boy. I read this before I came to Europe. It's really inspiring to life. i recommend strongly this book to all travel lovers here in the family of couchsurfing.com

Architecture books with a lot of illustrations and pictures ;p

[Exchange studies/Erasmus]
I am now in an exchange study in Hochschule für Technik in Stuttgart, Germany. This is the best moment in my life since this is the first time I live on my own and I have the chance to travel around Europe. I am actually studying Architecture so it would be so beneficial for me to broden my horizon in the Western World!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

[Teach]
Chinese. Perhaps also some a little bit guitar.
[Learn]
Other languages. I'm now learning German. Actually I want to learn anything you want to teach me! I would always love to try new things. Please don't hesitate!

Would like to know more about the society in your home, especially something that you won't be able to see in international news or internet. I can of course share to you how is my exchange life in Germany.
Since I'm living in Hong Kong, which is quite different from China. I can know more about China which people in China do not know. Perhaps i can tell you something that even CNN and Times magazine doesn't tell you.
