Présentation
À propos de moi
I was born in the Caribbean and raised in New Jersey. I did high school in North Carolina and completed my undergraduate studies in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania—Go Quakers! As noted above, I'm now a Ph.D. candidate in central New Jersey in the Program in Comparative Literature at Rutgers University studying literary and cultural studies.
When I'm not busy being a scholar and an educator, I spend my free time cooking for friends, experimenting with new cocktail recipes, spending time with my dog, exercising, making my own postcards, and discovering new art and music online and in my local area.
I am considerate and mindful and value respect and reciprocity. I identify as an introverted extrovert—I enjoy meeting new people but am sky at times. All and all, I love sharing about myself and learning from others. I like dogs, but I am allergic to cats unfortunately. I'm a pisces and, at present, my favorite word is "islomania," that is an obsessional enthusiasm or partiality for islands.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
As a graduate student, I often travel for academic conferences. My research and travel funds are limited however. I'm on Couchsurfing to save money on the cost of conference housing, with the added hope of befriending new friends and acquaintances while traveling for work.
