About Me

Hey there! I’m Entsar Abdalnabi a curious explorer at heart, passionate about science, art, and discovering new places. By day, I work in biotechnology, but outside the lab, you’ll probably find me walking through the streets with my camera, sketching random ideas, or trying to cook something new! I love meeting new people, exchanging cultures, and experiencing life from different perspectives.
I’m an open-minded person who enjoys making new friends and embracing the views and experiences of others. My love for languages is a big part of who I am, and while I’m fluent in English, I also know a bit of Spanish and French — and of course, Arabic is my mother tongue. I’d love to share some of my language knowledge with you if you're interested!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel is about connecting with people, sharing stories, and experiencing cultures from a local perspective. Couchsurfing is the perfect way to do that!
Ilove meeting people from different backgrounds, exchanging travel tips, and discovering hidden gems together. In return, I can share insights into my culture, teach a bit of Arabic, offer skincare tips, or even help with pets. With experience in nursing and beauty therapy, I’m always happy to lend a hand.
For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about accommodation—it’s about building friendships and creating unforgettable memories. Looking forward to sharing great experiences with like-minded travelers!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listening to classical music for its harmony and calmness, which helps me relax and think. I also love world music because it allows me to explore new cultures and sounds, enhancing my connection to the world.
One of my favorite movies is "The Pursuit of Happyness". The story of perseverance and resilience in the face of challenges inspires me and reminds me that success comes with self-belief and persistence, despite hardships.
I consider "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" by Yuval Noah Harari as one of the books that left a lasting impact on me. The book offers a comprehensive view of human history and presents new ideas about our evolution and place in the world, prompting deep reflection on the future and our role in shaping it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So, here’s one amazing thing I’ve done: I’ve worked in biotechnology research, diving deep into the world of antimicrobial resistance (sounds fancy, right?). I’ve even published three research papers on the subject, which is pretty exciting considering how important it is for public health—especially in my home country, Sudan. But here’s the twist: while I’m all about cutting-edge science, I also have this curious side that loves to explore the old ways of healing.
That’s where my love for travel comes in! I’m absolutely fascinated by traditional medicine and healing practices, and I can’t wait to explore how different cultures treat ailments using natural remedies and ancient techniques. As I travel, I’ll be diving into the rich medical heritage of each country, learning from their unique healing practices. My goal is to mix modern science with time-tested traditions, creating innovative solutions that bridge the gap between the two.
Why It Matters to Me:
It’s all about combining the best of both worlds. Science meets tradition! I’m excited to learn from various cultures and bring back what I’ve discovered to Sudan, where there’s a huge need for fresh approaches to healthcare. The more I travel and learn, the more I realize that innovation doesn’t have to be new, sometimes it’s just about blending the old with the new in a way that works.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m an animal lover and can help take care of your furry friends while I’m staying with you. Dogs and cats are always welcome in my world! In addition to that, I’ve worked as a nurse, so if you ever need any health-related assistance, I’m more than happy to lend a helping hand. I’ve also worked in the beauty industry, and I’m eager to share skincare tips, offer advice, or even provide some easy DIY beauty recipes if you're interested!
