Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of the world as possible before I have to do something crazy, like "grow up" or "get a real job"
ABOUT ME
I'm a literature fanatic who accumulates a ridiculous amount of books and finds it impossible to skip a good book sale. I'm fascinated by languages even though I'm terrible at learning them, and love animals despite not being able to have any pets in my apartment. Currently, I'm spending a year in Munich through the Fulbright program and working as an intern at the Bavarian State Library.
PHILOSOPHY
Love mercy, do justly, and walk humbly before thy God.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was depressingly slow on the uptake when it came to couchsurfing, and only recently joined. I hope to do some traveling and surfing before I have to go back to the US, and look forward to meeting fellow couchsurfers in the Munich area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had any yet through this website. However, I've spent the night on more than a few couches that belonged to friends.
Interests
Like everyone else here, I love traveling to new places and meeting new people. As an English Literature major and a librarian-in-training I enjoy discussing books of all kinds, (although I'm particularly interested in the classics). I also enjoy playing games, hiking, and horseback riding.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I listen to pretty much anything and have a really random selection of songs on my ipod. Currently two of my favorite singer/songwriters are Vienna Teng and Seanan Mcguire.
Movies: One of my favorite films ever is Van Helsing. Make of that what you will.
Books: Too many favorites to list, in just about every possible genre. A small sampling includes the Arthurian Romances by Chrétien de Troyes, Goethe's Faust, and just about anything by Arturo Pérez-Reverte.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching the sun set over the Alps. I was in Salzburg, up at the castle, and it was probably the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think I'll be learning forever! However, I know a fair bit about literature and am always up for a good discussion.
