I am one of the original Couchsurfers from back in the early days. When Casey sold us out, Couchsurfing went downhill. But, there are still some fantastic Couchsurfers out there and they are what keep me from leaving completely.

I escaped Australia early in April 2020 to avoid being locked down. I travelled through the whole pandemic. I lost my job in November 2021. I travelled until December 2022, when I returned to Australia. I hate being back in Sydney and want to leave. I am thinking of travelling again soon.

I haven't been very active on Couchsurfing for many years due to medical reasons. As of today, I am cancer-free. I was also diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis. I am currently still being treated for that. I will be on this treatment for another 2 years. Thanks to my amazing doctors, I am alive and doing well.

I have travelled my whole life. I have visited 132 countries and lived in 14.

I am easy-going, open-minded, drug-free, don't smoke, not the partying type and very well house-trained. For a male, I even put the seat down on the toilet. Thanks, Mum.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted more than I have been hosted. When I have a Couchsurfer in my home, I make them feel welcomed and do what I can to make their stay a pleasant one. I go out of my way to assist them in anyway I can. I've helped CSers find jobs, places to live, helped opened bank accounts, tax files number etc.....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Honestly, Couchsurfing started out as a really good thing but things have changed a lot on the site. One can still find good people out there who still have the true Couchsurfing spirit. One just need more patience sifting through the duds.

I feel Couchsurfing has gone from hosting site to social networking site for horny freeloaders. Seriously!
