I left the software world a few years ago to change careers. As part of that change, I founded a carpet recycling business and enrolled in a Sustainable MBA program. I split my time between San Francisco and Tahoe.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently live in SF, but host surfers at my home in Tahoe. Unfortunately, the Haight Ashbury attracts some undesirable visitors, so I am more comfortable hosting the cold weather compatible folks who visit Tahoe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Up until now, it has always been with people I already knew, but I've shared a bunk room in hostels many times.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently reading several sustainability frameworks for school. I loved the Tales of the City series of books. I love goofy comedies for movies. I listen to the radio in the car, but my CD player at home currently has a set of Ken Burns Jazz CDs.

Teach, Learn, Share

Great idea! One of my friends when snowed in asked each of his friends to spend 30 min doing research on the internet about something they'd always wanted to understand. Then they came back together and each spent 5 min sharing what they had learned.
