ABOUT ME

I am interested in people and the world. I was once told by my geography professor to find a place in the world and learn everything you can about it.. That is what I want to do with Sweden. I want to travel extensively here so that I can have good a local sense of place here in Sweden.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that people should be stewards of the Earth. That people should slow down their lives and come in contact with the surfaces of this great pale blue dot. That people shouldn't steal. This is the greatest crime. That great food and honest conversation with drinks around the dinner table could solve the worlds political problems.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I once saw a moonrise. I was on top of glacier peak in Yosemite valley. It was around midnight when the full moon came up from behind the mountain ridge in front of us, swelled up and over the mountains and slowly illuminated the whole sky and ground below it in a silvery wake. It was an incredible moment. Like being at the shore of a great ocean, well in fact I was at the shore of the cosmic ocean- peering into the vastness of space and into the depths of time.

Anytime I am alone with my dad fishing on some small lake in Minnesota, I feel infinite.
