About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to leave this world a better place than when I found it. I want to know more people, places, cultures, everything! I have a passion for learning and living and sharing my life with others through love and kindness

ABOUT ME

I love to meet new people and have new experiences. I am a big fan of really lame jokes (A byproduct of bartending too long). I love to make people laugh and to laugh at myself. I love my Great Dane Zemyrra, she is so full of joy and love and is an amazing companion. I love anything to do outdoors, I am always up for a new adventure and new experiences. I am a very open minded person but retain my own values, morals, and spirituality. I was blessed to live many years as a child in the home of an Orthodox Rabbi and was raised as one of their own children which opened my eyes to a whole new world which I am eternally greatful for. Also lived with a Buddhist for awhile and befriended a Hindu couple and a large portion of my family is Mormon and the others are Christian so I have had a wonderful, beautiful diverse view of the world and many faiths and lives to learn from. I believe that every person you meet teaches your something and becomes a small part of you in some way. I am also a big believer in Karma and like to stay on the better side of it :o)

PHILOSOPHY

I think I pretty much explained it already above, but really for me its very simple. Love, Live, Laugh-thats it! I want to live for today, love for eternity, and laugh always and share these with others I meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

How do I participate... Im not sure yet how to answer this question right now since I am new to this community but will update it later on. For now, I participate in trying to make this world a better place through volunteering for Search and Rescue and little "good deeds" here and there, and giving love and friendship to those I meet. I am a big gift giver, but not always in the physical form. Many times gift giving is so much more meaningful in the emotional sense.

Music, Movies, and Books

Spark your Dream (google it!!) by Candelaria and Herman Zapp, who I had the pleasure of meeting last June, was the most inspirational book Ive read in my entire life! I love all kinds of books, music, and movies. I'm a big fan of Roald Dahl (The BFG, The Witches, Charlie and the chocolate factory) and other books with big imagination! I usually listen to country-especially Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Cash, Haggard, and the good old boys but love all other kinds too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The highlights of my life are swimming with a pod of spinner dolphins off the shore of Mauii 2 years ago and diving with giant sea turtles. Nothing beats that. it was the most incredible thing I have ever done. More recently I inspired an elderly couple to walk barefoot across watery salt flats (unbeknown to me till afterwards). Any time I inspire other people thrills me!
