Overview
About Me
I was born in Heidelberg, Germany, but spent most of my childhood hopping across continents thanks to my parents’ careers in the U.S. military. Growing up internationally gave me glimpses of incredible places and cultures—but as a kid, I didn’t fully grasp the richness of the views, flavors, and people I encountered. I am hoping this will be a gateway into revisiting those experiences and creating new ones by starting at Couchsurfing.
Right, the personal stuff, too. I'm a single person. I'm a member of the LGBTQIA+ community (Not here to many anyone uncomfortable.) I have a career in Human Resources for a big tech company in upstate New York in the United States. I only have fish for pets, because my place of residence does not allow dogs or cats. I love animals in general and wanted to be a Veterinarian when I was very young. I did a lot of jobs to help animals and made it all the way to a Kennel Technician, before I went a different direction. I read, play video games, listen to music and podcasts, and I go to the gym a lot.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m at a different stage in life, ready to prioritize travel not just a pipedream, but as a way of living. I’m shifting my focus from material things to meaningful experiences, and I’m especially excited to reconnect with my German roots. I’ve always wanted to learn the language, and I’m finally diving into it—actively studying German and seeking immersive opportunities to grow.
This journey starts in Germany, but I hope it leads me to new corners of the world and deeper connections with people along the way. Couchsurfing feels like the perfect place to begin.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all sorts of music. Movies probably fall in the action and drama and comedy categories. I enjoy Fantasy Fiction books or Non-fiction Self Improvement, Psychology, or Business related books.
Teach, Learn, Share
Definitely hoping to have immersive language and cultural interactions where I have opportunities to practice my German, even if it might be basic. I'm happy to practice English with someone else if they need/want practice with that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great conversation, a sense of humor, and I can cook and clean.
