About Me

Hello Couchsurfers!

I got the chance to experience Couchsurfing for the first time in Portland, OR when I stayed at the beautiful Demo House. The Demo House was a home shared by some of the kindest and most fun people I have ever met. It was a house that was set to be demolished in a few months so the Couchsurfers who lived there decided to offer it up for Couchsurfers everywhere and so one of my best friend Eric and I got a chance to stay there for the weekend. That experience opened my eyes to the beauty of Couchsurfing.

Currently, I am a second-year law student at Arizona State University Law School interested in non-profit and public interest law. I am trying to develop an expertise in policy-making in the public interest around emerging technologies, specifically blockchain. I believe new technologies like blockchain have the ability to change this world and completely disrupt our current power structures, thus, doing away with the glaring inequality currently facing our society. As a law student with negative net worth to his name thanks to student loans, who wants to go into public interest work (aka not the big paying lawyer jobs), I hope to find happiness in the work that I do and the people that I serve.

Ideally, I travel the country, working at different organizations using my law degree to make a difference and help others. Couchsurfing seems like the best way for me to meet the people I'll be serving in every city I travel to.

I hope you'll accept me in your home and have a couch for me to crash on, I'm very clean, easy-going, sociable, and aim to be kind to everyone that I meet.

Please feel free to ask me more questions if you want to know more!

-Eric
