About Me
Fun-loving Dutchie, I love to share good food, drink and music with the world. New in Amsterdam, work at Schiphol Airport (also new! Used to work as a freelance writer in Rotterdam) - I know some interesting people and places in Amsterdam, and always interested in finding more.
I do enjoy (dry) humour and will always find a sunny side. Life can be both ugly and beautiful, and it's up to us to find a way that we like.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling, doing spontaneous things and meeting new people.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love all(most) music, lately I've been listening to a lot of Latin and dance songs.
Books, yes please. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Witcher tales, not turned off by a little Sci-Fi either and - well don't get me started; I can go all day. Special shoutout to Churchill's Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare - you could not make this stuff up.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Met one of my best mates (little brother!) online, he's from Israel. This was about 16+ years ago. Since then we have visited different countries together and even I attended his wedding in Tel Aviv. It's a small world after all.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love writing (English, not so much Dutch) and happy to do any creative exercises you can put your mind to. Love to learn new languages and histories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Without the slightest affront to my modesty I can honestly attest that I make amazing pancakes, annnd - if you stay at my place I am almost bound to make you delicious spicy oven chicken. Don't doubt, I will prove it.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland
Countries I’ve Lived In
