I’m an easy-going guy with a positive attitude. I live in Ottawa Canada, married, speak English, French and am actively learning Spanish. I’m a United Church of Canada minister (very open-minded and progressive theology), have previously worked in partisan politics (social democrat) and nature conservation (charitable sector).

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Love pop music, I watch a lot of movies. I make a point of seeing every film nominated in every category of the Academy Awards, go to the Toronto International Film Festival every year, and love a film concept that takes normal life and breaks the rules (think: Groundhog Day, Big). Currently film favs: All of Us Strangers, Poor Things, American Fiction, Saltburn. I like listening to audiobooks when I’m walking. Mix of fiction/non-fiction, but I read anything by John Irving.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I’m a big fan of lifelong learning. When I travel, I love to hear about the culture, rituals and politics of the place I’m visiting. I believe it gives me better perspective to see and hear about the world through the eyes of someone else. (That’s why I love movies so much!)
