Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hi! I'm 28 years old, originally from Germany, and I just finished my degree in Medical Engineering. I currently live in Munich, but I’ve also spent time abroad — including an amazing semester in Rome that really sparked my love for discovering new cultures and perspectives.

I'm about to start a 5-week trip through Sri Lanka and I'm really excited to meet new people, learn more about local life, and share stories and experiences. I believe that getting to know people from different backgrounds is one of the best ways to grow and broaden your view of the world — it leaves you with memories and lessons that last a lifetime.

Although this is my first Couchsurfing trip with my own profile, I've already had some beautiful experiences together with my girlfriend: we stayed with a warm family in Marrakesh and with two great hosts in Chefchaouen, Morocco — both of whom we’re still in touch with today. I’ve also hosted a traveler from the US in Munich, and we had an unforgettable weekend exploring the city together. The references for those stays are on my girlfriend’s profile, since I didn’t have one of my own at the time.

I'm easygoing, open-minded, and always curious to hear other people’s stories. I’m looking forward to making new connections during this trip — whether it's over a cup of tea, a walk around town, or a shared meal.
