I grew up on a cattle ranch in the Arizona desert. My sister still lives there. I caught the travel bug after graduating from college in 1989 and spending two months backpacking around Europe. It was while backpacking in Australia that I met my Swiss wife in 1993. We traveled on together for a couple of years, then got married and settled down in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. We had two sons there and then moved back to Tucson in 2005. Both sons seems to have caught the travel bug as well. The older one has just begun his travels.

My wife and I did a lot of traveling before we had kids. Now that they're grown and my writing lets us live wherever, we're getting back into it. We like being around travelers and would like to reconnect. Travelers are the most interesting people.

We're all over the place on music. I listen to everything from heavy metal to classical and my wife has a fondness for Zumba music, since she's an instructor.

All kinds of movies too. I like being surprised by a story that is different.

All kinds of books too. I currently spend most of my time writing fantasy, so I read quite a bit of that. But I love action, historical fiction, history, humor.
