ABOUT ME

I am someone who wants to do everything and won't stop until I have. I love to be outside if at all possible and feel best when I can escape into the wild. In the winter I like to concentrate on my art or work on my bicycles and motorcycles. I'm a pretty laid back person but I also take my job and school work seriously when needed. (I probably just made myself sound like a nerd)

PHILOSOPHY

I don't want to be great and I don't want to be remembered. I just want to know I did the best with what I have. Live and love.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had plenty of bands stay in my place over the years. I've had Blck Jcks from Johannesburg, Young Galaxy from Montreal and other smaller acts. I may not always have much to offer, but I always enjoy opening up my door and sharing experiences. In 2012 I went on a motorcycle trip and couchsurfing journey to a hostel in Maine. On my journey I stayed with 7 different surfers in 5 different states.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences so far have all been amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect at first, but it gives me so much hope for humanity that I have found people who are willing to have open hearts and open homes. I will definitely be couchsurfing for the rest of my life.

Interessi

I like to listen to and play music. I paint and do various mixed medium art in my spare time. I love the arts but also like to work with my hands and be outside. I like to bike, run, kayak, swim, play frisbee or generally just do anything where I can run around and burn some energy. The only downside to Ft. Wayne is there's a long winter and there's not nearly as much nature as I would like to enjoy.

Musica, film e libri

Anything by Wes Anderson, Twin Peaks, Breaking Bad....I really don't watch too much TV.
For books I like Kurt Vonnegut, the Art of Happiness by the Dali Lama, A Brief History of Time by Steven Hawking, A History of God by Karen Armstrong...the list goes on.
My musical taste is pretty expansive, but some of my favorites are Starflyer 59, Jay Reatard, The Black Angels, The Beatles, Tame Impala, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, Isley Brothers, Sam Cooke, Blue Oyster Cult, Beck, Youth Lagoon, Mondo Drag, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones...I could go on for days, so I'll just stop.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I've drank a bottle of wine on the Eiffel tower, seen Mayan ruins in Mexico and drove cross country a few times. I've been a truck driver in the Army, a cosmetologist, a musician, a pizza delivery guy, worked in a tattoo shop and now I work for IT at a credit union. I like to keep it interesting :) It surprises most people from work when they see me without my shirt and tie, because I'm about 50% covered in tattooes.

Ha, I don't know if I'm much of a teacher, but one thing I have learned in life that I wish I would have learned earlier is that I can be independently happy, regardless of anyone else's opinion. I think all one should need to find happiness is one's mind. Also I think compassion and understanding of others are crucial in living a full life.
