My wife and I are avid travelers and social people. For years we were only able to do short trips but recently have been able to do more long term travel. The best is visiting somewhere with no real plan and just experiencing somewhere else rather than trying to see all the sites. It's fun to see the small differences in clothing and food and being pushed out of my normal routine.

Meeting other travelers and getting to know new people is always tons of fun.

I love the concept of couchsurfing and like the idea of being able to help out other travelers. There are so many amazing stories of great people connecting! Unfortunately my schedule makes it quite difficult to be able to host much.

Intereses

My roots are in geeky things (board games, computers, sci-fi/fantasy, etc) but I spend more time in pubs or out for cocktails with friends. I enjoy snowboarding and backcountry camping. I also do a fair amount of distance running and love trying out new things.
