About Me

ABOUT ME

After spending 5 years in college, feeling like I was in prison, travel was all that I could think about. My thirst for adventure needed to be satisfied so I started traveling and trying to experience all the incredible things the world has to offer...and I got addicted. I feel like I've been very blessed in my life with some pretty phenomenal experiences and I try not to take anything for granted. I believe that we all can achieve our own awesome purpose in life, and I want to continuing traveling, hosting, and enabling people to do what they are most passionate about in life.

People who know me would describe me as "overly ambitious, adventurous, and as a man who is genuinely interested in getting to know people". People who don't know me would describe me as "Passionate, overly-social, impulsive, and that guy who looks downright goofy, but damn is he having a great time ".

PHILOSOPHY

My biggest fear is waking up one day when I'm old and realizing I had a life that passed by without being lived. Never settle for anything less than the absolute best, and get the most experience out of life that you can. You can't take the physical things with you when you go. I'd rather look back and say "I can't believe I did that" instead of saying "I wish I had done that".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's too much of the world to see to stay in one place. My charisma can only reach so far, ya know? I plan on seeing the world I live in so that I can better understand how to help do my part in helping out. Renewable energy and travel are my passions in life, and I want to help other people pursue their passions, and hopefully receive help in return!

Interests

Hiking, piloting, scuba, camping, fishing, lifting weights, research, biology, reading, spelunking, netflixing, travelling, microbreweries, or trying new things in general and getting the most out of life.
If I've never done it before and it isn't going to kill me or get me arrested (or developing a bad habit)- then I'm down to try!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

How can I choose one??
Scuba diving in laguna beach and crystal clear waters of Cozumel with gorgeous reefs, piloting a Cessna, Hiking trails and waterfalls galore at Yellowstone, reaching the summit of Mt. Bierstadt (over 14,000ft), exploring a small town of only 13 people 60 miles North of the Arctic Circle in Alaska.

All of these are incredible experiences that have shaped who I am and my appreciation for life

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk video games, craft beer, neuroscience, biotech, genetics, or cheap travel tips for days.
I'll more than likely find you a four leaf clove and give it to you as a gift, if it's the right time of year.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can kick your butt at guitar hero, introduce you to a beer that you'd like (especially if you are a "non-beerliever"), and offer company and good vibes.

I like to get the most out of my surfing experiences, and if I meet up, that means that I want to truly experience an enriching time in the city that I'm staying, and I want to truly have an unforgettable experience with my hosts.
