ABOUT ME

I think leaving this blank would say almost as much as filling it in will. I'm simple, quiet and often reserved. I am frugal, against waste and greed... who isn't. I like animals, a lot. I love composting in the backyard and in the house via worms. The smells are fun. I also enjoy finding free stuff and getting rid of things I don't want or need.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a huge house with 4 other people and we are more than happy to host lots of neat people. We have lots of space and a few things besides the floor to sleep on.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed on a couple. Hosted lots lately, had nine Mississippi canoers the other week.

Well, I am a retired gamer... trying to get more active and social. I like music and hearing live music, though I can't play anything, yet.
Science and math interest me, though I am not the most skilled or educated in those areas.
Otherwise, composting, bartering, finding good garbage, fixing stuff. I have a strange fascination with making an extensive family tree. I guess it's a way of recording a part of history that is actually related to me in some way.

I love a lot of little bits of a lot of genres. My favorite music lately is bluegrass.
I like movies that aren't dumb. I recently turned off a movie for having a hit to the crotch. Amelie, Boondock Saints, Hedwig are some of my favorites...

I took a shack-boat down the vast majority of the Mississippi river. Moved cross country and back twice.

I know a little about sewing. Can't cook worth a damn. Can help with computers and math. Need to learn how to play some music.
