I'm a remote-working journalist living in Raleigh, NC after long stints in NYC, Beijing, Nanjing, and Kansas City (my hometown). I travel a lot for both work and fun and love meeting up with locals for drinks or other fun activities when on the road.

Played in an ultimate frisbee "peace tournament" in North Korea, ran a marathon on The Great Wall, and was detained by Chinese police for committing journalism. Occasionally, I write some of this stuff down.

I've been called "Lord of the knock-knock jokes." I kid, I kid...but I do always like treating hosts to dinner and drinks, and if the mood strikes, show-off my mind-reading abilities.
