I am personable, kind and funny, though can be shy at first. I keep my life simple and positive. I gravitate towards an organic/green lifestyle but I certainly don't require it of others.

I dig hiking, yoga, research, animals, helping others, editing and am kinda artsy. I freaking love music but am not a musician. I am a reiki master. I like neuroscience a lot and I volunteer for Habitat For Humanity when I can. I am sociable, a people-person, but keep to myself a lot, too. I like learning other people's stories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's a great way to go about things, like rideshares on Craigslist. I also work in other areas here and there and it is great to have options as far as places to stay. We all take care of each other this way!

I listen to a lot. Clutch. Living Colour. Wilson Picket. Stevie Wonder. Joan Jet. Funk. Blues. Punk. Rock. Easy Listening. I love Carol King, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Diamond and Jim Croce. But I like my hard rock, too. Soul is great. Being from Chicago, I loooove Chicago blues!

Books....I dig non-fiction. Creative non-fiction. Other people's stories, information, etc. I am reading I Am Malala right now. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Japan with a Chicago blues legend when I was 25. Just met him, too. He was 73 and needed help due to a pending back surgery. (I helped carry things). It changed my life!
