About Me

Hello! I am originally from southern California. Lived around the U.S. Lived in Japan for a year. Now living in southern Vietnam teaching ESL. I am very laid back, easy going, amiable, free spirit, etc.
I love exploring new places. Especially if those new places involve food (^_^)
I love animals, especially dogs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend suggested this app when I mentioned AirBnb. I love the idea of a sharing community! Plus I love meeting the locals when I travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

It changes frequently.
For music, right now I am into Flume, Tom Waits, Kid Cudi, Gogol Bordello, Bohren & Der Club of Gore, John Coltrane. This past weekend was World Goth Day. So I was listening to a lot of Type O Negative and Nick Cave. You get the idea
Books. Right now I only have the attention span for graphic novels. Although I did recently finish "The Library on Mount Char" It was excellent.
Some of my favorite movies include Yojimbo (1961), Young Frankenstein (1974), Ronin (1998), Insomnia (2002)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While studying abroad in Japan I had the chance to be a substitute EFL teacher. It was terrifying and a lot of fun. Also became friends with the head monk at Syoganiji Temple.
