I am now living back where I grew up....Ranelagh, Dublin after living abroad for a good few years. It's good to be back home, though I'm staying in my parent's house so I am unable to host at the moment. Sorry. Now my surfboard's arrived from New Zealand I'm keen to do some road trips to practice on Ireland's beautiful west coast waves.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
With loads of laughs and a lot more now that I'm back home.
Some of my best experiences have been via Couchsurfing abroad. Lots of fun and laughs with great people in the most random places!
I love trying anything once and then more if I like it even if I'm not so good at it. When I lived on a huge farm in the middle of nowhere, New Zealand I liked baking. I love dancing, playing in the sea waves, road trips with the music played loud.
- outdoor activities
- hill walking
Music, Movies, and Books
Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie and most classical fiction. I like a wide range of music though I can never remember the names of the songs I hear that I like. I am just getting my head around downloading spotify as I'm not great at technology, which I'm actually quite proud of! Hahaha
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Survived a massive storm while staying on a deserted beach alone in the south of Sri Lanka. Very scary.....especially when the electricity went out.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am fascinated about prisons as institutions in all different societies. I used to be an English Language Teacher so I can help with that?!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Now that I'm back in my home town I can share some tips though I may be a bit rusty as I've been abroad for over ten years. I used to say I could share my bad baking, but I don't think I would subject anyone to that anymore. Also when I get a car I can share space to the west coast.
