About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Fresh arrival to the world of couchsurfing.com! While I originally joined to find some hosts on my August 2015 stint in Europe, I've heard the benefits of being a host yourself and meeting travelers. So if you are in the area please send a request!

Interests

While I use this phrase cautiously, I've been noted as a Renaissance man in the past. Constantly on the look out for new interests, and then diving deep into all aspects of said interest. Here's a list of the newest:

Yoga, Transcendental meditation, Learning the German and Italian dialects, High elevation training

Music: singer/song writer (fluent in guitar/trumpet, learning piano/ukelele)

Anything outdoors (hiking, backpacking, camping, rock climbing, caving...)

Geocaching

Back country survival

MMA/Kick boxing/Boxing

Computer programming

Electrical circuits

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Eagle Scout Project, '99. Organized and executed the cleanup of a 50 acre wooded meadow, which included the removal of 10+ large trees, over 3 tons of brush, as well as a large dump site. Amounted over 250 hours of labor. Enjoyed cutting the ribbon on opening day which was an added bonus.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Beyond a good laugh and some enlightened insight, I can show you the countryside around the area via hiking, camping, and climbing (oh, if you geocache, then we will be best friends) . If you happen to be a musician, then let's jam over some tunes and then enjoy a beer at Victory Brewing Co right down the street!

Obviously you are welcomed to crash at the apartment, we have plenty of room to accommodate.
