About Me

CURRENT MISSION

As we say, the grass is always greener somewhere else. My mission is to find the place with the greenest grass ;)

ABOUT ME

Grew up in Vienna (where I lived 18 years...), but I'm half French/half American... in the end I only lived 6 years in the country (France) where I'm really from ;) I attended the French school in Austria, and mostly spoke French at home, English with my mom, German outside... I studied in Lyon, then Paris, and lived close to 2 and a half years in London until October 2013. Just moved to Abu Dhabi in January 2014 :)

PHILOSOPHY

Why not do something if you? You might not be offered another opportunity in your life... it's always wise to take chances, when you have them...

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would be delighted to show guests around Abu Dhabi, but first I need to get to know the city myself, and obviously I wouldn't mind discovering it with visitors!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first Couchsurfing experience in 2007 when meeting Marina and Yulia in Moscow. Yulia invited me to her wedding in November 2013! I'm also keen on meeting up with Couchsurfers when I travel, but also to meet up Couchsurfers travelling in my city. Haven't had too many opportunities to host in the past, but I would love to host more frequently!

Interests

Rollerblading, discovering new places, meeting new people ... :) enjoying life...

Music, Movies & Books

Les poupees russes (french movie), Piter.fm and ironiya subdy (russian movies). For music, I prefer rock but I generally like all kinds of music...

book: my favorite so far is "A year in merde", so funnily caricaturing french people, and there's a part of truth in what's written in the book :) I'm also a big fan of Andrey Kurkov's books

One Amazing Thing I've Done

amazing thing done...hmm! for instance, going to russia was kind of my dream... I fulfilled this dream by going to Moscow for one month to learn Russian in summer 2007! and I liked it so much that I went there again in summer 2008 and then to Saint Petersburg in summer 2009 :) Travelled again around Russia in February 2011, discovering Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan and Ekaterinburg! (Russia is a bit too cold for me in winter :P). I continued my siberian experience in September 2013 with Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tyumen I spent 1 month in Minsk, in June 2011, taking russian classes! I ended up going back to Belarus in December 2013 - winter is obviously cold, but it still was an unforgettable experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like people who did unusual things, travelled to interesting places, or simply people dreaming about crazy things :)
