About Me

I'm currently living in Medellin, Colombia. Im 23 years old. I am finishing a bachelor in Aeronautical Engineering and the main area I have been worked on is in research, especifically in the new materials area; and as you may wonder, I love all related with everything that is able to fly. I really love to get to know new places and people and learning new languages . I love to know about cultures that are different that mine and people with different manners and mores. When is about traveling I can be really modest and simple and I do not mind to share places with other people. I especifically love churches and all related to religions like temples and cementeries (even when I don not practice any religion). I love almost any plastic art but especifically, renaissance and baroque art, colonial architecture; a wide range of music types from clasic music to electronic music, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think traveling teaches you a lot about the cultural richness around the world and to see life from different angles, which in your daily life helps you to easily understand the other people. Traveling is one the most enjoyable ways to learn and money should not be and impediment for people to learn. I think couchsurfing is the perfect excuse to get to know a place thanks to the local people, which in my opinion is a better way to really be permeated by a culture rather than staying at a hostel or something similar.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to listen to a wide range of music types, from electronic to classical music, rock, pop, even reaggetton, some hip hop, protests songs, etc. I like to experiment with any kind of flokloric music and learn more about music types I still have not known. As a good latin, I love salsa and latin music in general.

Regarding to movies, I love independent and cult films, like those that leave you out of your mind with nonlinear stories, unfinished ends and stories where you need to pay attention to every little detail to assemble the puzzle. I love documentaries as well.

Respect to books, I love thriller books and books that makes you think different about life. I have read books like "El principito", "la resistencia" by Ernesto Sábato, "El caballero de la armadura oxidada", among others. Colombian novels such as "satanás" by Mario Mendoza, "Sin remedio" by Antonio Caballero, etc. I like also personal growth books like "Padre rico, padre pobre", "procastination" by Jane Burka, "how to stop worriying and start living" and "how to gain friends and influence others" both by Dale Carnegie, etc. But if you really want to keep me inmersed with a book, you should give me a thriller one, like "The Davinci Code" or "the lost simbol" both by Dan brown.
