When I was 9 my family took a vacation to Colorado, and I know that's when my wanderlust was born. Camping, horseback riding, and most especially scrambling all over the rocks in the Garden of the Gods and Estes Park. My first international trip (besides Canada) was studying abroad in Greece. I more than loved every piece of it. I could not get over how surreal it all felt to be so far out of what I knew. And I LOVED that. So my life became dedicated to that quest of getting more of that, but always feeling limited by needing to behave normal. I studied, got degrees, got married to a beautiful man I eventually pushed into moving somewhere, anywhere!, abroad with me. And we picked Australia. We had two kids, and we stayed for eight years. We all have Australian passports now. It was beautiful, and I can talk a lot about Oz. The beautiful man and I got divorced, and after a lot of inward soul-searching we've set up a period of time where I can get all my creative pursuits out of me. I took a solo road trip into the dessert of Australia where I finished my book and finished a screenplay. And now I'm here in Los Angeles because I'd like to settle here. I want to try acting, even though it feels crushingly cliche. It was what I wanted to do when I was that little girl in Colorado. And I have two business ideas to start up that people think are really cool when I describe them.

I started hosting when we lived in Tasmania because I loved giving to travelers. We all share the same little quirk in our hearts, and I loved making it easier for people to have their adventures.

I'm on now because I'd like to integrate into Los Angeles as I try to settle here. My kids are with their dad in North Carolina while I set myself up. I want to know about neighbourhoods, life here, what it's truly like to work in the creative industries here, where are the beautiful places, tips for really unique and creative art exhibits or performances or other cool things, and advice on where to find those quiet green places to collect myself again. I always desire that swing back inward and try to seek out some nature.

Intereses

They seem so serious when I write them down! But I live my interests with a lot of lightness. I'm interested in human consciousness and how much deeper and expansive we can go with it. The endless capacity for the force of love to establish new systems and order. Exploring nature and having so much fun getting dirty and playing rough and dangerously in it. Writing amazing, epic books. Acting, especially funny improv. Personal health and wellness, including freeing up body movement. Redesigning the structures we live in and how we live amongst each other. And I always love travel. I always will.

I also like talking with trees, animals and myself.

I've read thousands of books. I can make tailored recommendations. My first movie crush was on Keanu Reeves in Speed. Recently I keep watching Set It Up. And I really love Kanye West.

The whole thing is amazing. It gets to a point where every moment can be amazing. Even in agony. But travel-wise, I have more than one amazing thing I've done. Shark cage dive, wine tours, escaping a burning building. In complete truth, my favourite experience of my whole life so far was natural childbirth.

Beyond sharing who I am, and really caring who you are, I like sharing my food, I like mothering, and I am very tidy. I am largely vegan. I have many stories, many skills, lots of love.
