My Name is Erik Christiansen, and it would be easiest to just say that Im a gamer.
I have spent most of my life moving from state to state in the USA, until eventually moving to Vienna, Austria and Meeting my wife Romana. The only real constant through my life has been Video games, so even though Im Close to 30 now, I still consider them a pretty big part of my life.

Im loud, laugh easily, a bit cynical, but Overall accepting of People I meet.
Travelling in any way possible, including, Hitch-hiking, driving(though no liscense anymore) Trains, planes, and boats. Nowadays I Keep it simple, but not afraid to hitch it if I Need. Last Major trip was from San-Fransisco to Chicago.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I would be travelling in the past, especially when hitch-hiking, often I wasnt willing to do the Tourist like things so much, and was mainly there to see the things or pass through. Often getting stuck in a City at night would be terrible, having to find some sketchy place to stay in the middle of the night, I wish Couch Surfing had been as prominant when I was younger as it is now for People. I dont travel alone too often now, usually going on trips with my wife, but I would still like to find the cheapest Options, and a good way to meet some local life. Giving my own Couch as an Option for the hapless traveller feels nice too.

Music, Movies, and Books

For Books, I would reccomend the Malazon Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson.
World War Z is up there as well, but aside from those two off the top of my head, I could literally fill this box with hundreds of books. I love to read.
For Music, I usually go with "whatever sounds good" meaning, I dont really have bands I like, but Songs from the bands. Off the top of my head though, Queen, Tenacious D, Daft Punk, Macklemore, yeah, i cant really Think of names off the top of my head.

I saved a Girl from drowning once, but Ill leave that Story for when someone meets me in Person.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I definetly love to talk, and will probably Chat your ear off if you let me, so prepare for that. I have lots of fun, scary, and Overall crazy stories from my past travels, and just life of course, and love to share. I can definetly find a game you will love, even if you dont like games.
