Overview
About Me
I'm an easygoing person who likes hosting and having people over. I've done my share of sleeping on other people's couches/floors/chairs as a touring musician, and I'm finally getting around to paying it forward. EDIT: having moved to NYC, I don't have a couch anymore, but I'm working on getting my own place with a couch! I recently made a career change to software engineering, and I love it so far.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: all sorts of things but mostly rock, extremely specifically 90s post-hardcore, but anything with loud guitars and dissonance will grab my attention. Jawbox, Chavez, Dismemberment Plan are perennial faves. On the less dissonant end I love love love Joni Mitchell, Joanna Newsom, and Stevie Wonder. I'm a big fan of everyone on or formerly on Exploding in Sound (Speedy Ortiz, Stove, Palehound, Ovlov, etc!) Other recent loves include Hop Along, Pinegrove, Ravel, and Albeniz.
Movies: PT Anderson, Steve McQueen, Pegg/Frost, Coen Brothers, David Lynch.
Books: Recently enjoying Shirley Jackson, Dorothy Sayers, Virginia Woolf, Ta-Nehisi Coates. All timers: Gogol, Byatt, Tolkien, Doestoevsky.
