Overview
About Me
I'm a 25 year old male backpacking throughout Europe and Ethiopia with my girlfriend (Chelsea Simon-see her profile on couchsurfing!). Since graduating from university in San Francisco ( I also lived in Ghana for a year during my education), I have been teaching English and working various other jobs while traveling throughout different parts of the world. I'm a very easy-going individual just looking to do and see many new things before going back to school for further education.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Looking to experience new ways of traveling and engaging with all sorts of people from different cultures and backgrounds. Getting to see a country from the perspective of how people actually live vs. staying in hostels is the main point for me regarding couchsurfing.
Also, it's certainly cheaper.
Interests
Philosophy, politics, culture, history, etc... I'm a huge nerd so I really like many academic things, although I am quite down to earth at the same time.
movies, music, music festivals, dancing (although I'm atrocious at it, I do actually enjoy it.)
I really enjoy hiking, exploring, and learning anything new.

Music, Movies, and Books
All kinds of music really. Different varieties of Jazz, hip-hop, blue grass and folk, different kinds of rock, many different kinds of electronic stuff, music from the places I've travelled to. Really love finding and learning about new music more than anything.
Too many movies to really list to be honest.
Books: Always changing. But my most recent favorite is A Briefing for a Descent into Hell. Title sounds rather grim, but the book is wonderfully mad.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Among other things, I guess motorbiking throughout Burkina Faso and Mali before I even had a clue about how to ride a motorbike was pretty cool.
On the other end of the spectrum, hanging out with some Rastafarians in the back alley ways of a small northern town in the North of Ghana during an intensely beautiful thunderstorm is also something.
