I am currently living in Marseille, France to work on a PhD at the university of Aix Marseille. I am enjoying living in Europe, traveling around exploring many countries with my girlfriend.

I have traveled a decent amount, both in the USA and internationally, with about 25 states and 25 countries visited. My most recent trip was three months in south america, revisiting Chile and Argentina.

Educational background: I studied physics in undergrad, and acoustical engineering for a masters degree. My thesis was related to sound from airplanes in the atmosphere. I have also played viola/violin for about 20 years.

Mostly classical music, but also some rock/folk/indie/etc. I read all sorts of books -classic fiction and biographies (mainly of musicians and physicists. I don't watch very many movies because I would usually rather go for a walk or sit up and talk over a beer.
