Hey everyone! I'm an all around sarcastic and jokey girl who just likes to have fun! I've been in all kind of housing situations, from sharing tiny studios to large houses and was always the adaptable, laid back one of the group! I'm pretty outgoing but also love Netflix (one of the best inventions!) and my downtime as much as anyone! I'm LGBT friendly, pet friendly, 420 friendly and just friendly in general :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently got a position with AmeriCorps working for a charter school in Oakland and will be hunting for apartments that are within my price range. If you're the willing and generous type to let me stay for an extended period, that would be amazing! But I figure I may be doing the couch to couch thing for a couple weeks before finding a permanent home in the San Fran/Oakland area.

Interests

I love being outside! Hiking, paddling, kayaking, tennis, golf (though I won't be bringing my clubs) and just strolling around in general. I love listening to music, just like any other normal human, and if I'm too tired, then I'll either be chilling to music or watching a movie or TV show. I enjoy coming up with new recipes, and I am a vegetarian, but I make food a meat-eater would enjoy!

Music, Movies, and Books

Beirut and Man Man are my favorite bands but I enjoy classic rock to funk (hell yea!) to indie to alternative to almost everything. The only music that drives me crazy is Christmas music and the pop music that sounds the same.

Favorite movies are whatever piques my interest! I really tend to lean towards comedies (just because of my wonderous hilarity) but I love dramas, documentaries, thrillers, anything!

Favorite books are non fiction ones. I like learning when I read (not that I don't read fiction). The last book I got out from the library was all about the anatomy and physiology of the brain and the nervous system. But they're not all black and white- I like Carl Sagan's books and he's a very animated writer!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This past summer, I worked with California State Parks and had the best summer of my life! I ended the summer having an amazing road trip, stopping at all these different places on the Southern route so if you let me crash, I can entertain you with some of those great tales (or shut up and not tell you).

Teach, Learn, Share

I have epilepsy (and have had it since I was 15) so that is something you would need to know about me! It's under control and I take meds for it, and I have been seizure-free for over 3 months now!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my cooking abilities, a laugh, some entertainment (because I WILL entertain you with the stories of my life!) and you will know that not only are you doing something amazing because you're helping someone, BUT you're helping someone who is helping people :)
