ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm a 26 year old guy from Denmark. I am a student of literature and cultural studies and work as a receptionist at a hotel. I love to cook, to listen to people, to play any sort of games, to learn new languages and to discuss. And everything else.
I think CS is a wonderful idea, a great way of tying the world closer together. More than saving hotel bills, couchsurfing for me is about making the world bigger (and smaller), seeing foreign places with local eyes, and seeing my own area anew.
PHILOSOPHY
"No need of a story, a story is not compulsory, just a life, that's the mistake I made, one of the mistakes, to have wanted a story for myself, whereas life alone is enough." (Samuel Beckett: Texts for nothing IV)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had a couple of very nice stays in Barcelona and Lisbon courtesy of CouchSurfing niceness. Short, both of them, but very enjoyable. Would love to host somebody if the chance comes up.
Interests
Cinema, literature, music - art in general.
Languages. Would love to learn Japanese, Chinese and Farsi/Persian - and of course improve my proficiency in the languages I do speak, especially French. Teach me, please.
Cooking. It's a great way to enter a foreign culture, and a great thing to share with other people.
Politics: Social-liberal, pragmatic, pro-European.
Philosophy. Science (biology).
Religion - especially Zen-buddhism and post-theistic Christianity.

Music, Movies, and Books
Primarily modernist and high-brow stuff such as Jean-Luc Godard, Abbas Kiarostami, Samuel Beckett, Cormac McCarthy, Rainer Maria Rilke, Keiji Haino and Bob Dylan, but also every and anything else:
Westerns, musicals, screwball-comedies, and boring, artsy films.
Country, folk, jazz, lieder, free noise, black metal and disco and dance-music.
Almost any poetry before the beat-generation, Great American Novels, and French Nouveau Roman-style prose.
Teach, Learn, Share
Cooking. Languages. Some philosophy. Fun facts.
Learn: as much as possible. As long as it doesn't require any work, that is.
