About Me

I live in a small town called Toyamachi, which is 2 hours away from Sapporo, by a beautiful lake called Lake Toya.
I'm a single mom with 4-year-old daughter, Mariko.
I've studied in Australia for 2 years and in Holland for a year.
In my 20s, I worked as a tour conductor, traveling abroad and domestic.
My daughter and I moved here three years ago, and enjoy beautiful nature around here.
I teach English to kids and adults at home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to communicate people all over the world and also I want my daughter to have same experiance.
I like traveling but not as a tourist. I want to experience the life there by sharing time with people living there.
Also, I stayed at host families during my study in Australia for a year, which was great experience. I really thank them, and want to pay back( or forward). That's why I've wanted to host foreign people.

I also would like to improve my English communication skill. However, it doesnt matter if you are native or non-native English speaker. I'd love to learn other languages!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all kinds of music, movies, or books in English.
Harry Potter is the first English book I've ever finished reading, so I love them.
I like movies with music and dance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Giving a birth to my daughter and rasing her!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not good at giving you any advise about travel planning.
So please do not ask me where I should go, how much time I need to spend in Hokkaido, or such a questions. Please look up on a guide book!

I can teach Japanese, I want to learn English(or other languages), I can share a nice country side life if you're staying with us.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Maybe my experience and story of traveing, studying abroad, rasing my daughrer and teaching English. If you have kids, I can take care of them with mine. I can read books, take them for a walk or whatever they like to do. I like cooking and having meal with them.
