ABOUT ME

Torn between being a city kid and a bush man. I Love nothing more than living in a busy cool city with tons of friends, good times, going out to gigs and dinners, hanging out, drinking a little bit, sharing ideas, thoughts, books, movies, music and all the things I think make us as humans so amazingly special.
At the same time I am crazy in love with the ocean, mountains and above all, rivers. I try to spend a fairly ballance amount of time out kayaking and skiing. I kinda think it's a chance not only to have a great time doing some of the things I love the most, but also gives me a chance to recharge and remember some of the most important things out there are some of the simplest. Just how important it is that we look after what we have been given and how conected every thing really is.
hope that gives you some idea, I'm never really good at keeping inside the box with these things. I guess that would count a little for my personal philosophy too...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have surfed a few couches and had a few people surf my couch. Traveling right now so more on the suring side but looking forward to having a couch to host again soon!!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still pretty fresh to CS but I think it's becoming one of my favourite parts of traveling!! I have yet to meet a single person through CS I have not found to be amazing and very unique as well as really enjoying each and every one. I am super stoked to be part of some thing so cool. I see it as really being a great step into a better world.

Intereses

Almost any thing some one takes time and effort to make well and beautifully. Be it a book, poem, movie, wine, coffee, meal, album, kayak, ski, what ever. Along with that getting out and enjoying life. Being outside some where nice, Kayaking and skiing stand out for me but also spending time with people I care about and meeting new people. Anything new really, I will try almost anything once. I kinda think we are here to experience as much as we can and grow from what we learn.

Hot chip, tussel, !!!, shimon, digital, black sun empire, bass nectan, fat freddys drop, shapeshifter, kora, the vails, the black keys, The cold war kids, jj cale, john coltrain, bb king, de la soul, the roots, colby chestnut, the steets, the kooks,the noisettes, roots manuva, edit, the seedling escape, portishead, mother mother, bloc party, electric 6, beck, nick cave and the bad seeds, that will do, see eclectic!!
books:
the dharma bums, on the road, grapes of wrath, 1984, in to thin air, the gary shnider reader and scar tissue are a few that mean alot to me.
Movies:
Anything Wes Anderson, um.... Donnie Darko, human traffic, 2046, purfume(the story of a murderer), american beauty, hell ride, the fountain. And I'll add some more soon.

Shared food with some one who was really hungry. it sounds so simple and really is, but to be able to help a complete stranger when they really, really needed it was pretty amazing!!
