To spend the next few weeks meeting new people, having new experiences, and seeing some European cities!

ABOUT ME

I'm from the North of England originally, but I've spent the last 13yrs living in New Zealand. I moved there for a year, and ended up staying! Its a fabulous place. I've fully embrace the lifestyle and I love to get out and about on my legs, mountain bike, snowboard, climbing rope.
One of the things New Zealand lacks though is history and culture, so while I'm visiting the Northern Hemisphere this Summer me and my good mate Heather (who also lives in the same town as me in New Zealand) have planned a wee tour of some cites in Europe to get our fix of culture before we head back to the land of the long white cloud. We plan to visit Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague and Barcelona. We are sorted for somewhere to stay in Amsterdam and Prague, but if anyone can offer us a couch/ floor bed in Paris, Berlin or Barcelona, that would be fab!

Put experiences and adventures before material possessions and stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the idea of couchsurfing, have done a bit in New Zealand and know quite a few people who have both hosted and surfed, and found it to be a very positive experience. Travelling around without any real local knowledge can be daunting and you only need one person to show you the local sights and introduce you to some lovely people and you can have a completely different experience.

Interests

Snowboarding is pretty much the only sport i've ever been obsessed with, was never a team player!
Getting more into mountain biking and windsurfing lately too.
Hiking with friends, fancy dress compulsory.
Reading
Eating good food, especially when it comes straight out of the garden

Swimming in the sea, would say surfing but i'm pretty rubbish...
Drinking with friends
Enjoying the countryside!
Soaking up history and culture.
Old country pubs!
