I currently live in Tallahassee, FL with my brother (we are very close) and one of my best friends! I am a student at Florida State University working towards a degree in Art Education, and when I finally decide to stay in one place I would like to teach elementary school art! Before that though I want to travel. Maybe get a job dancing on cruise ships? Backpack around Europe? The world is so big, and I want to see as much of it as I can while my body is still able.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to be able to travel and see all that I can of this world while I'm young, and I love the couchsurfer mindset! Being able to meet and stay with locals that know their way around and are willing to share their home sounds like a great opportunity.

Eventually I would love to be able to return the favor and host travelers myself. Meeting new people from all over sounds like an adventure itself and I'd love to get to know people from around the world and learn as much as I possibly can.

Interests

I am currently an art student at FSU. My focus is in ceramics (I love working with clay), but I also love to work with paint, pastels, and charcoal as a medium. I am also a performer in FSU's circus which is a pretty big part of my life right now. I grew up performing as a dancer and I love being able to continue broadening my skills in another art-form. On the weekends I enjoy going to local events with my friends, whether it be a concert or going to the fair. Otherwise, I love a good night in with the housemates just watching movies, playing card games, and petting my fat cat.

Music, Movies, and Books

I go through music phases. Right now I really enjoy anything from the 60s/early 70's like Elton John or the Beatles. Some more current groups I really like are Foster the People, Alt-J, and the Arctic Monkeys. Favorite movie hands down is Forrest Gump, and I've recently been really into reading my mother's old Jane Austen books.
