About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to seize the opportunities that being young affords us and really embrace traveling to experience what life has to offer.

ABOUT ME

I'm 26 years old and caught the travel bug about 3 years ago when I met my now husband. Now, I am totally hooked. Recently, I had a revelation about my life which I realized I had spent toiling away towards school, work, and supporting friends and family and not really living for myself. So, I started a "Bucket list", or rather a "How I'm going to Live My Life List" and now I just want to start scratching things off that list! What I look forward to most about traveling is the unexpected experiences and the amazing people that you can meet along the way if you are open to it, and that's the kind of experience I'm looking for in life. I like adventure and have a hankering for adrenaline rushes which can take many forms, in general I'm not gonna turn down an experience because I'm scared. If I'm scared that just means that I HAVE to do it. In general I'm very go with the flow and down for whatever might come up.

PHILOSOPHY

I always ask myself... will I regret doing it more? or will I regret not doing it more? Then decide. If I don't want to do it just because I'm scared, then I have to do it.

Food philosophy: Try it, you might love it.

It is never too late to be who you want to be.

Live a life you are proud of, and if you aren't find the strength to start all over.

Interests

Running- currently training for a Marathon, and will do my 3rd Half Marathon in May

Yoga- New to this but love it!

Scuba diving- I appreciate the serenity and the different perspective, but its been a while since I've been able to dive.

Rock climbing- I say this but I live in FL so... no rocks :( I would love to give a real wall a try soon

Music- I love music, I don't have a musical bone in my body but I still love it

Dancing- Can't keep myself from moving when there's music, even when the music is just in my head

Food- I love food, selecting new and interesting ingredients, cooking, smelling, eating. I'll try anything once, and if I don't like it I'll usually keep trying it until eventually I do *cough*mushrooms*

Art- I like to create and to experience art in all its forms and am always looking for inspiration. I am currently the Custom Jewelry Designer for my company.

Learning- I love to learn to do new things, or about different cultures, I think you should always be trying to learn something new from the people and places around you

Music, Movies, and Books

I love hard rock and indie rock. I like dance mixes too depending on my mood. Classical has a time and a place, so does Opera. Pop really isn't my thing but sometimes those hooky tunes get me.

Favorite books would have to be Brave New World, Siddhartha, Life of Pi, Lone Survivor, In Defense of Food and my dirty secret is I like the Harry Potter books and even worse Twilight... yeah I admitted it. I actually really like audiobooks, they are great for REALLY LONG runs.

Movies- it really depends on the movie. I can think of favorites from every genre so it really just depends on if the story line looks any good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I caught a wild 4 1/2' alligator with a beach towel, a tennis racket, and duct tape. I literally jumped on it, taped it's mouth, put it in my Civic and relocated it to a lake (it was hanging out in a recess in the road at an apartment complex).

Hiked and climbed a canyon in the Israeli Desert. Most amazing life experience to feel like you are in exactly the right place at exactly the right time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking and baking, and can definitely bring that to the table- literally. I know some yoga and am happy to pass along that knowledge. If you want to go for a run, I'm happy to motivate you if you are a newbie and unless you're crazy fast I can definitely keep up. If you want to know about diamonds and jewelry, I've definitely got that.
