ABOUT ME

I've been in Wales for 6 months on a university exchange... with a considerable amount of travel around Europe mixed in (perhaps explains my dwindling funds!). It has probably been the best experience of my life so far and in some ways I never want to go home. I've loved traveling since for ever- I love the independent self-sufficient feeling of carrying everything I need on my back. I love stepping off the plane, train or bus and getting the first glimpse of a place I've never been before. I don't know what I want to do with my life yet or where I want to live, but I figure I've got plenty of time for that to sort itself out. I'm studying politics in Canada, though it seems I learn more about my degree when I'm not in school. I have fantastic friends and family who I love dearly (and who are probably the only reason that I am going home at all), I am independent and rather spontaneous and a little quirky, and I love a cold beer and good chat on a sunny patio.

Intereses

I love exploring new places on foot/wandering rather aimlessly, spontaneous chats with interesting strangers, great books, live music or theatre, music festivals, finding a great new artist, conversations about politics, philosophy, religion, characteristic neighbourhood bars, dancing like crazy on a wild night out, tasty new foods, biking, hiking and camping, train rides through the countryside, swimming in the ocean (or more commonly a glacial lake!), horse riding outside, and a good chocolate cake.
