About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Road trip across the USA and into Baja coming back to Raleigh, NC

ABOUT ME

Newly-weds on a road trip to find a place to settle down.

PHILOSOPHY

"It doesn't matter where you go. What matters, is who you are with." - Erin quoted me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Once we settle in Raleigh we will be glad to host other travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing official, but we are currently either sleeping in our car (Now in the shop for repairs), in the occasional motel or with friends along the way. I (Bryon) have surfed dozens of couches around the world, and my wife (Erin) has surfed couches in several states.

Interests

Learning and experiencing something new every day.

Music, Movies, and Books

Eclectic, but optimistic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bryon actually rode his motorcycle from Virginia to the Arctic Ocean and then to Baja. He was on a road trip with his friend and got to see Denali National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Arches National Park, Banff, Kenai Peninsula, the Grand Canyon, Wrigley Field, the Baja 1000, and visited many major cities along the way.

Teach, Learn, Share

(Erin) My husband and I began this road trip with the intent to grow and learn, to see and experience, and to find what truly makes us and everyone around us tick. We have been on the road for 26 days. We started in DC, drove to the southernmost point in Key West (making many stops along the way in beautiful places), and we are now coming through Tennessee to continue south, west, north, and eventually back east to Raleigh, NC, where we will be settling in our home. Our adventure has inspired many people already. Bryon, my husband, has already helped a friend find his own footing in a similar experience to ours. That friend is having the time of his life in Mexico currently. We really enjoy getting to know people, and when we can be an inspiration, it just propels us further forward. We want everyone to open their eyes and minds to what this world has to offer.
