About Me

ABOUT ME

I am currently a environmental geoscience major at Texas A&M. I was born and raised in Texas, but lived in California for 2 years. I'm pretty easy going and laid back. I am a vegetarian. I hope to one day study abroad.

Interests

Now that I'm in college I spend a lot of time studying, but in my free time I like to...
-Listen to music. My music taste ranges from classic rock like Led Zeppelin and Steely dan to current alt rock like Manchester Orchestra, Band of Skulls, Grizfolk, and Wolfmother, and then all the way to electronic dance music like kaskade or above and beyond. But I also like to listen to Lana Del Rey or Lorde.. sometimes even brazilian folk rock so I don't really know what to tell you.
- Read. I'm a book hoarder. I'm currently reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series. I love classic literature as well as non fiction books about evolution and science from authors like Carl Sagan or Richard Dawkins.
-Practice yoga. It's the best way for me to relieve stress. I'm not very skilled at all, but one day I hope to be able to perform inversions and all the cool stuff like that.
-Nature. I love hiking, camping, going to the lake and other outdoor adventures. In the future I hope to be working in a career that will allow me to help protect our environment.
-Travel. I love going to new places and being overwhelmed with completely new sights, sounds, foods, and people. I love experiencing different cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. My first trip out of the country to Italy. I was 16, and it definitely gave me a larger world view. It also sparked my interests in talking to people who lived completely different lives compared to the standard american lifestyle.
2. This is going to sound super nerdy, but taking AP Environmental Science my senior year of high school was very inspiring for me. It ignited my passion for sustainability and is a huge part of who I am today and what I value most.
