About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To step out of the rat race for a while and experience life in different places.
ABOUT ME
I am currently a travelling free spirit, but I have strong roots back home. I have been living on the West Coast of Canada for the past 12 years with breaks now and then to travel and work in other provinces/cities/countries. For the past 4 years I have been teaching on First Nations Reserves on Vancouver Island. Right now I am taking a break and have been WWOOFing and travelling my way through Italy and Greece. I love the kind of travel that involves staying in one place for a while and making some real connections, or at least knowing where to get the best coffee!
PHILOSOPHY
To gather as many experiences as I can, this is how and why I live my life. Freedom with roots is my mantra. The freedom to explore and discover new things, places, but always knowing that my friends and family are a net that I hold close to my heart and that, in turn, holds me.
Interests
Where do I start??!! First off I love to travel...the food, the people, music and languages. The only problem being when you meet people and really connect and eventually have to move on. I love to run. Nothing beats speeding through new streets fueled by some good tunes. I read maybe 2 books a week and am always looking for new ones. I love to go to the cinema, any language as long as there are subtitles.

Music, Movies, and Books
I will read almost anything, but my most recent favorites are: Blink, By the Light of my Father's Smile, Three Cups of Tea, What is the What, Three Days Road... can't think of any others right now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have sat in a boat in the middle of Desolation Sound, British Columbia in the middle of the night and watched the Marbled Murelet (endangered sea bird) diving in the water, trailing bioluminescent sparkles. This was a part of a field work project I was involved in. We would later have to scoop the birds up in nets and attach radiotransmitters to them, somewhat like alien abduction....but it was beautiful at first!
