Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
one step. and then another one.
ABOUT ME
in the last years, i've had the chance to see a lot of different parts of the world and life and worked in many different fields. that is why i think i developed a broader understanding of people and places. my main target is to create a life in which work and private interests become one.
PHILOSOPHY
only context tells you the whole story! everybody is changing everyday, also our philosophies do. that is why i try not to be focussed on a certain one but keep my mind and heart open for wise thoughts and exceptional moments. but in general, i am not a very spiritual person but someone who likes to look at things as down-to-earth as possible and tries to avoid too much interpretation. isn't the world interesting enough with all we know and without all speculations about this and that we don't know about?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
when updating my cs profile, i realized that i had visited 32 countries until today, which made me think about the benefits of a system like couchsufing. remembering all the situations in different countries, when i felt somebody to show me around a bit or to talk to would be very helpful and fun explains perfectly why i'm participating in cs!
Interests
oh. a lot. too many.
- cooking
- gardening
- boating
- juggling
- scuba diving
Music, Movies, and Books
most wes anderson movies, most woody allen movies, most coen brothers movies. and all the others with intelligence, humor and story. same for books, there's too many good authors to only mention a few names. good novels are as educational and as non-fiction. one life is not enough to read all the good books, but i do have a favourite: max frisch. stiller.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
one of the most amazing moments in my life i experienced in ecuador, where a dream i had since i was a kid became real. on the way back to the coast from a scuba dive way out on the sea we discovered a huge humpback whale next to us. after we'd stopped the boat the whale first examinded us with one of its big eyes and then tried to impress us by jumping out of the water so close that we almost got flushed off the deck... what a moment!
Teach, Learn, Share
i can show you some gardening techniques, how to cook really good homemade pasta, bread or maybe some other cooking skills, a solid handstand, how to build a straw bale house, how to repair your bicycle, and maybe some new (or old)(fire)juggling tricks...
